Welcome to my day on the Moda Bake Shop SWEET CELEBRATIONS Blog Hop! If you are a new visitor to my blog, hello! I hope you'll find a happy place here. I am so excited to share the news about Moda's second book release!
I
feel so privileged to be a contributor with such an amazing group of
"chefs". The book has been a long time in the making and I know that you will find a lot of inspiration and wonderful
projects. And the best part, it releases this month! Here are some of the fabulous projects you'll find inside:
How's that for inspiration!
Oda May over at Moda Bake Shop has asked me to answer a few questions for you!
I love corner pieces! I'll have to admit I'm a frosting fanatic, so I always ask for the corner. C'mon, it's the best part of the cake, right?
2.What is your favorite part of quilting – fabric selection, piecing, quilting, binding – and why?
Here is the order of what I love the best about quilting. 1. Fabric Selection. I love to pick out fabrics and a design a quilt and I have always loved the cutting! There is something peaceful and methodical about it. The little stacks of cut fabric just make me happy. 2. Quilting. I really like machine quilting! It used to scare me, but I actually get excited about it now. Maybe someday I'll have to get me a long arm (in my dreams:). 3. Binding. There is just something about picking up a needle and thread and hand stitching. And bonus, I can to crawl in bed and catch up on all the shows on my DVR to do it! 4. Piecing. It's crazy, but this is my least favorite part about quilting! Though it is fun to see the pieces come together, I just want it to be done!
3. If you could have a quilt shop spree, which items would you snag off the shelf?
Fabric of course! And I love pre-cuts. It's such a great way to get all the fabrics available in a certain line and you know they already go together.
Thanks Oda May!
The time of year I was asked to celebrate is Back to School! This is absolutely my favorite time of
year. One of my projects in the book is this back to school messenger bag
and lunch tote!
The gingham is patch-worked and they both feature a little apple applique. Ready for a yummy recipe to go along with it?
How about some Caramel Apple Cupcakes? That's right, instead of frosting there's melted caramel on top. Don't they just look like your favorite caramel apples? Here is the scrumptious recipe:
(sorry the giveaway is now closed)
Don't forget to visit all the other chefs on the blog tour. Each chef has their own giveaway and recipe card! That gives you more chances to win and a collection of great desserts!

What you would grab if you could go on a quilt shop spree
If I could go on a quilt shop spree totally guilt free I would grab fabric fabric and needles and thread and then some more fabric. I would get the fabric from the precut section since I have no sense of colour or style so I can never pair stuff up myself and I need major help. I would go crazy picking out the cutest most wonderful fabrics. Oh what a dream!
I would grab anything bright, modern and colorful, probably. Fat quarters, jelly rolls, charm packs... whatever!
Some of my favorites are Kate Spain, Me and My Sisters, Sweetwater, and Sandy Gervais.
I would be grabbing bundles, layer cakes, all the precuts I could handle, books and Aurifil thread. Wow, a dream come true, huh? Thanks for a chance to win.
I thought I was a follower of your blog but I rectified that, I am #314. Thanks again for a chance to win a great book and fabric.

I would grab a half yard of everything in the store! I just love a variety of yardage!
I am subscribed to your blog!
I would grab precuts and books. Wouldn't most of us? :-)
Shopping Spree? Grab my husbands credit card (higher limit), then at the store - grab the layercakes - they have more options of cutting into smaller shapes if needed. Get those cute gals at my local quilting store to start cutting coordinating backing and sashings-they know how much I'll need, they always do. I better pick up a couple of books, they've got they latest ones, and some patterns...phew I'm out of breath and have broken a sweat and I'm only typing. Gosh girl, I think my bank has put a hold on my acct just knowing I'm sending this you!
I'd grab fat quarters in a wide variety of solids, batiks, and blenders.
I would grab as many FQ bundles as I could carry.
I would grab the pre-cuts, several other coordinating fabrics, the books, embroidery thread, and anything else time permitted. Thank yo.
One arm would have layer cakes, the other the Accuquilt go cutter. What fun!
and money's no object? There's a $200 cutting mat... it folds up and at it's longest is 72 inches... I REALLY need that mat. LOL!
and i'm following you on FB now. Melle Eldridge
I'd grab lots of pre-cuts to toss in the air while eating one of your yummy looking cupcakes!
First I'd get all the pre-cuts in my favorite lines...first would be Simply Color. And then I'd get a bunch of fat quarter bundles. Also I'd get some Aurifil thread to try for the first time... Thanks for a chance to win! :)
I'm a new follower of your blog via gfc! :)
Precuts and binding--I love binding and try to incorporate it into all my sewing projects.
Lots and lots of Jelly Rolls!
I would grab FQbundles and I really love cinnamon&spice.
I am a follower!
I just started quilting recently, so I can think of tons of things. Fat quarter bundles in every color way of a few of my favorite lines. Jelly rolls for all of the jelly roll patterns I have put away. Text fabric of some kind, I have none and am dying to work with it and good thread in lots of pretty colors. And a new sewing machine for sure so I can FMQ.
Following you on blogger! :)

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
